Changing Threads in the NFL 2024

As the start of free agency has sprung in front of us in 2024, there are a lot of changes in the NFL as a whole. Fields making his way from the great lakes region to the east coast and finding a new home in Pittsburgh. To me, this was an odd but good trade for the steelers. As they now have Russell Wilson and Justin Fields in house, I'm trying to figure out what their game plan is for the start of the 2024 season. Are they looking to start Fields and Have Russell as a very very good backup? Or is it the other way around?

Both quarterbacks had okay seasons but nothing like it should look and maybe that's the Pittsburgh Steelers taking a chance on two quarterbacks that are looking to both turn around their careers. Below are the stats for both players over the 2023 season courtesy of ESPN.com .

Russell Wilson

Justin Fields

Yards: 3,070

Yards: 2,562

For the rest of the league... there have been moves on moves on moves. Whether its couldn't Barkley becoming an Eagle or De'Andre Swift becoming a bear. There were plenty of FA and trades to be passed around. As we look at the rest of the NFL carousel, some surprising teams stood fairly still... ehem.. COWBOYS. Losing Tyron Smith, Tony Pollard and a few more key players have really diminished them in spots they couldn't afford to lose. Also the New England Patriots were fairly quiet as well. They signed a slightly used Jacoby Brissett and Antonio Gibson. The only player the Patriots signed who I think will make a fairly decent impact is K.J Osborn who was picked up over the leprechaun weekend.
